Dr. Felix Zandman was the inspirational leader of the business that became Vishay Precision Group, Inc. He began his professional life as a professor at the Ecole de l’Aire, the French Academy of Aeronautics, and his theoretical work added a new boundary condition to existing equations to show that the resulting strain equation for a material becomes identical to the applied stress equation. This deep mathematical understanding of stress/strain principles was the foundation that he later utilized to create practical solutions to real-world applications.
